Cut a 6 inch (15 cm) piece of heavy card.  Wrap the yarn around the card. Slip the wound yarn off the card. Slip two toothpicks into circle made by the yarn.  Hold one toothpick steady and while holding the yarn taut, twirl the other toothpick until the yarn starts to kink back on itself. Fold the skein in half, use your little finger to locate the centre. slip one end through the loop of the other end (where the toothpick was) and allow the yarn to wrap around itself.
