There are so many ways to make socks, you can start at the toe (toe up), at the cuff (cuff down); you can use four douple pointed needles (dpns), five dpns, one tiny circular needle, one long circular needle, two circular needles; you can make many different toes, heels, cuffs, patterns, etc. The combination of techniques is endless and can certainly be confusing. This area is my attempt to make sense of all this for myself.
I have signed for a group that encourages members to make 12 pairs of socks in 2012 and will use that as a opportunity to explore some of the many approaches to making socks. These pages will be updated from time to time.
