While most of the time you will likely be weaving in ends while working on the right side, it is possible that you may need to do it while working on the wrong side of the work or on the purl row. Please note, that when weaving on either side, the stitches will be more obvious on the purl side.

If you follow the rule that your weave in the old colour end while working into the old colour stitches and wait to weave the new colour end in once you are working into the new colour stitches, the weaving in will be far less visible (as shown in the video above) whether you weave the ends in on the knit side or on the purl side.
